Room with a view
The historical house was built in 1690 and even today still features many of the original details, such as the 17th century beams, stairs and chimneys. The stairs, as compared to newer buildings are a bit more steep.
The house is situated in the center of Amsterdam on one of the prettiest canals .... lees meerwith a pleasant view on the Prinsengracht and the Leidsegracht.
Our 17th century house, in which the “Room with a View” apartment is situated has a bay window that allows for an even more interesting view.
The interior is fitted to the classic style of the house, which creates a warm and cozy ambiance. For your meals you can use the Wegdewood-dishware and silverware we have available for you.
The Loft
This house has been built in 1899 and was designed by the brothers Kaufmann, two architects from Amsterdam. The outside of the house has been restored to maintain its original style and charm, while the inside of the house focuses on tasteful modern comfort. Because of the age of the building, the steps however are quite steep.
The house is situated in the Latin Quarter of Amsterdam, with a pleasant mix of yuppies, students and older people. There is plenty of things to do as soon as you close your front door, there are a lot of restaurants, café’s and little shops nearby. The Albert Cuyp Market, which is just a few minutes walk from the apartment, is crowded with people six days per week, you should also visit. The Rijksmuseum is only a 15 minute walk and you can reach the heart of the city on foot in about 10 minutes.
